Kitesurfing courses with Thalasea Sports based on the official International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO) training program. We also run refresher classes and clinics at our kitesurf school.
First kitesurf school in Naxos, IKO affiliated since 2004, our experienced kitesurf instructors are IKO certified and ready to help you progress quickly and safely regardless of your current riding level. Kitesurfing courses are in English, French, German & Italian. We run group courses & clinics (2-4 students) and private lessons for all levels.
We use specialist kitesurf equipment including the latest Cabrinha Kiteboarding student kites, trainer boards and radio helmets if necessary. Students receive an internationally recognized IKO Kiteboarder Card to certify their level of kitesurfing at the end of the course.
IKO Kitesurfing Course
IKO 1 - Discovery
Usually completed in 1 session/3hrs.
Group lessons (2-4 students)
1 session/3hrs: 120 Euro
Private lessons (min. 2 hours):
70 Euro per hour

IKO 2 - Intermediate

Rent the perfect size kite and board for the day's conditions and avoid the hassle and expense of bringing your own equipment. Choose from our range of Cabrinha Switch Blade and Cabrinha freeride boards
All kitesurf rentals are subject to our terms and conditions and a deposit must be paid. You must be able to kitesurf upwind to rent unsupervised. If you do not have an IKO Kiteboarder Card Book a IKO certification now.
Assisted Riding Session
Feeling worried about kitesurfing with new equipment? Or maybe it has been a while since you last kitesurfed... Then book an Assisted Riding Session and let one of our IKO instructors help you launch and land the kite and have a safe kitesurf session. IKO Certification
The IKO Kiteboarder Card certifies your level according to your skills and allows schools, instructors and shops to be aware of your competencies. YOU NEED YOUR IKO LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATION CARD TO RENT. PART OF THE SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE ARE : - Know the Right of way rules, Self Rescue Procedures, Weather factors - Ride away from the shore and come back at starting point. - Ride among others riders - Recover the board without the leash, by body dragging upwind. - Constantly ride upwind.
Students who learn with us receive automatically their kiteboarder card.
If you never received a Certification
Level Card since you Kitesurf, then Schedule a Check Out Test with our IKO instructors = 30 Euro (test last about 15 min) For more information or to book contact us now
Independent Kitesurfing
The final part of the kitesurf program will have you kiteboarding on your own, experiencing the rush of kitesurfing independently.
